So A Gift from Woolworths is the next instalment in the very loved Woolworths collection from Elaine Everest, it comes out on the 31/10/2018!
Will the war be over by Christmas?
As the war moves into 1945 the lives of the women of Woolworths continue. When store manager, Betty Billington, announces she is expecting Douglas’s baby her future life is about to change more than she expects.
Freda has fallen in love with the handsome Scottish engineer but will it end happily?
Maisie loves being a mother and also caring for her two nieces although she still has her own dreams. When her brother appears on the scene he brings unexpected danger to the family.
Meanwhile Sarah dreams of her husband’s return and a cottage with roses around the door but Woolworths beckons.
Will our girls sail into times of peace, or will they experience more heartache and sorrow? With a wedding on the horizon, surely only happiness lies ahead – or does it?

So you should be able to remember Woolworths, it was the shop of dreams when I was little, so I was very excited to read this because it takes you back to that shop, especially around Christmas. This book was set in the war time and revolves are the girls that work there, and what is going on with there lives! It’s such a cosy read, it’s lovely as it’s a follow on as well so reading a new one is like catching up with everyone and I love that! My grandma has read the previous ones too and she loved them, so I’m going to lending this one to her so she can read and catch up also! They’re the kind of books that absolutely any age will love! I highly encourage you to pick the first one up and give it a read, you’ll not regret it! Purchase the book from Amazon ~here~!
Thank you to Faye and Elaine for having me as part of this tour,
